Qualifications
A person who wants to become a graphic designer is recommended to:
Have university studies (bachelor’s or master’s) in one or more fields relevant to graphic design. Examples of such fields include:

Business adminsitration
Complete an online or in-person course focused on graphic design and obtain related certificates.
The qualification can provide a competitive advantage compared to other candidates; however, the job of a graphic designer is also possible without these credentials, based on solid knowledge of graphic design. These skills can also be acquired through non-university courses or self-study, but they will need to be proved to potential employers.
