Qualifications
To become a midwife in Romania, one must:
Complete a 4-year university program in midwifery at an accredited institution. Examples include the Faculty of Midwives and Nursing at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” in Bucharest or the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Dunărea de Jos” in Galați.
Register with the Romanian Order of Nurses, Midwives, and General Medical Assistants and obtain the annual license to practice as a midwife.
